Automated scanning reliably catches roughly 60–70% of WCAG 2.1 AA success criteria. The remaining 30–40% require manual testing with assistive technologies and human judgment — things like screen reader flow, cognitive accessibility, and complex interactive widget behavior. For full compliance assessment, we recommend pairing automated scans with manual testing by accessibility professionals. Castle Rock Sky offers manual audits as a consulting service.

Scan results are retained for 30 days so you can revisit a report without re-scanning, then automatically deleted. We do not retain the full page content of scanned sites long-term. Paid tiers with monitoring keep historical score data (grade, finding counts) longer for trend analysis — the underlying page snapshots are still purged on the 30-day cycle.

The scanner identifies issues and recommends specific fixes, but it does not modify your site. Two paths forward:
