Why we built this
Castle Rock Sky has been providing IT managed services to Colorado organizations for years. As federal ADA Title II deadlines approached and state laws like Colorado HB 21-1110 came into effect, we watched government IT teams and small businesses scramble for answers — usually at prices that excluded the organizations that needed help most.
The existing accessibility tooling split into two camps: free scanners that were fast but shallow, and comprehensive audits that started at five figures. Neither helped a small municipality with a shrinking IT budget or a solo developer maintaining a handful of client sites. So we built AccessGuard Scanner to give every organization a concrete starting point — a clear letter grade, specific findings, and fixes that cite the exact WCAG criteria — at zero cost for the basic scan.
